2022 Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Tour

The 2022 Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Tour has been one of the highlights of our Christmas break. Come sail the beautiful canals of Amsterdam too! A fun-filled boat trip on a canal tour will take you through the city centre, where you’ll see amazing architecture, eat some delicious food or just relax and enjoy yourself with a drink. The Amsterdam canal tours are a real must-see for any tourist visiting this wonderful city. So if you want to experience it for yourself, then book your tickets now!

Amsterdam is famous for its canals and the 2022 Amsterdam light festival canal tour was one of the most memorable activities for me. I enjoyed sailing along the canals and seeing all the beautiful buildings that were built along their banks. The Amsterdam light festival itself is one of the most famous events in the Netherlands and takes place every year in December, last year it was even bigger than usual! The canal tours in general are a great way to see all of Amsterdam while getting out on the water, but we’ll get into that later on in this blog post.

The Amsterdam light festival is one of the best festivals in Europe. Last year, it took place between 1st and 31st December 2022. It’s a wonderful experience for all ages and a great way to get to know the city and its people, as well as see it from a different perspective. I personally absolutely love a boat trip to see new cities. After the tour had finished, we went to see many beautiful Christmas decorations that had been set up throughout downtown Amsterdam which made a magical city atmosphere.

Although the 2022 Amsterdam light festival canal tours are finished for this season, if you’re looking to make the most of your trip and enjoy Amsterdam at your own pace, then a private tour is the way to go and are available all year.

We recommend –

A private canal boat ride along The Damrak Canal as it passes through some very beautiful neighbourhoods with lots of history behind them like Waterlooplein square which was once called “The Dirty Square” because people would party regularly in this spot. Find tickets here – Amsterdam Boat Experience.

Just in case…

Just in case canal tours aren’t your thing, a guided walking tour with an expert guide who will educate you on all the amazing sights in town is also an option! This includes everything from famous monuments like The Anne Frank House (the place where she hid) and the Van Gogh Museum (home of one of his paintings), to lesser-known gems like the Rembrandt House Museum or De Pijp neighborhood. Find tickets here –  Viator.

You are now able to book a private Amsterdam light festival canal cruise of your own. We have done all the hard work for you, so just sit back and enjoy the ride! Private tours offer guests the freedom to explore on their own terms while still having access to all the information they need in order to make an informed decision about what they want out of their experience. We think this would be a great place to visit if you are looking for something different from your usual holiday destinations. Book your tickets now and get ready for an unforgettable trip!
