Race Against Time

Winters in Spain can leave a lot of people lost with things to do as the tourism industry closes down and water-based activities like beach days become less and less appealing. All is not lost however! If you’re looking for a fun trip in winter that’s available in the Costa Blanca region of Spain, then look no further than this list of motor sports activities.

Here’s my tried-and-tested top five RACE AGAINST TIME activities!

Go Karting

I’m auto-ly delighted to kick start this Top Fives list with one of the more commonly known activities and readily available in most locations; Go-Karting!

This activity is a variation of road racing, usually on a scaled-down circuit practiced both in and outdoors. The go-karts or shifter karts routinely have four wheels with an open top and are great for group races no matter how old you are. Go karting is great for beginners, but also for advanced drivers because there are many different levels of speed and difficulty. It’s also a great way to get your heart rate up after a long day at work!

One of my favourite things about go karting is that for roughly 10 minutes, you can let loose and whiz around corners as fast as you can handle, racing against your friends and family. What’s not to love?!

I’ve tried this activity in several locations but here are some useful links for the East Coast in general –

Indoor Karting Barcelona

AV Karting Moraira

Karting Benidorm

Rally Kart Cross

Set your weekend off without a hitch and book your space on a rally kart cross experience!

Rally kart cross is a style of kart racing that takes place on an off-road course instead of paved tracks. It’s designed for karts with engines which are faster than go-karts and allow you to navigate the turns more easily (especially in snowy conditions). The average speed is around 50 miles per hour, so it’s not as fast-paced as other motor sports but still provides plenty of thrills!

Maralba Circuit Experience

Quad Biking

Quad biking is a great way to get some fresh air and escape the winter blues!

Quads themselves are four-wheeled motorbikes that are built to withstand harsh terrain. They’re lightweight, and they can be driven on flat or uneven ground as well as off-road through mud, sand and water. Some quads feature a passenger seat so you can share the fun with someone else or try the experience before getting in the riders’ seat.

If this sounds like something you’d like to do, here’s our recommendation:

Supercar Circuits

Can you imagine driving your dream car on a race circuit? Well, that dream can become a reality.

Supercar circuits are a great way to experience the thrill of driving your favourite supercar without the worry of other drivers on the roads or speed limits. These tracks are usually located near major cities, so it’s easy to get there and enjoy yourself. And best of all: you don’t have to be an experienced racer or car enthusiast to participate—you just need to book your ticket!

You can choose from a variety of track options depending on what kind of supercar you want to drive and how much time/money you want to spend getting there. Find out more here –

Formula GT

Classic Car Rental

Renting a classic car is a great way to try out motor sports while also saving money. Classic cars are fun to drive because they have more power than standard street vehicles, and you won’t have to worry about getting stuck in traffic or paying for gas!

You can usually rent classic cars directly from the company that sells them (Ford, Chevrolet, etc). They often have special rates for people who want to test drive their product before buying it.

Club 55 Classic Cars

Go-karting, rally kart cross, quad biking, supercar circuits and classic car rentals are all fun activities to try out this winter. The bright sun and dry weather make Spanish winters an ideal location to enjoy the thrills and spills of exciting motor sports.
